Ohio has enacted a new credit for commercial vehicle operator training expenses.
What is the commercial vehicle operating training expenses credit?
For 2023 through 2026, an employer may apply for a credit for training expenses. Ohio will not certify more than $50,000 per year as tax credit-eligible training expenses for any employer. The employer credit will equal half of the tax credit-eligible training expenses actually incurred by the employer. No more than $3 million dollars can be certified each year.
